What is Kids Music N' Motion?
Kids Music N' Motion is an educational team inspiring children and adults to have fun learning music together. Classes are now forming to introduce your child(ages birth through 18) to music! Form your own class with friends and playgroups or join one of our classes in one of our many locations.
Many Preschools,Gradeschools, Mommy & Me Groups, MOP Groups and Family Day-cares have experienced Music N’ Motion and love the program!
What will we learn?
Your child will be introduced to singing, listening, rhythm, creative movement and dancing. A developmentally appropriate and enjoyable music program that will enhance your child’s awareness of music.
Eye hand coordination, laterality, spatial awareness, directionality and body awareness will be learned through creative movement and dancing.Furthermore, students will learn group participation and socialization in addition to individual musical activities.
Our company has developed a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for each age group, but is also educational and fun. We work with all types of schools including preschools, private and public grade schools, special needs institutions, family day-cares, as well as parks and recreation departments. How many children know what a didgeridoo is from Australia or an African Talking Drum? What about 2-year-olds learning to tap dance or 10-year-olds learning Hip Hop? We offer a wide variety of music curriculum to meet the needs of the community.
What are classes like?
With each lession your children will learn new songs including holiday, traditional, folk and multicultural music. Children will learn to enhance their singing voice and perfect the “perfect pitch” that all children are born with.
Percussion instruments will be used each week. Rhythm will be taught through playing drums, castanets, tone blocks, maracas, bells, triangles and various shakers. Pre-reading of music will be introduced as well as the value of musical notes, music dynamics and tempo. An introduction, as well as hands-on activities with various instruments played in modern day orchestras and other musical groups.
What about advanced education?
Keyboard lessons and Guitar Lessons are also offered to older children starting at age four. Come meet Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear as children explore the world of learning keyboard playing and music theory!
All activities are taught by skilled Early Childhood Teachers. Also, materials are supplied by Kids Music N’ Motion for the Early Childhood, Keyboard and Guitar classes, and references can be given for instrument purchases.
Group sessions are for 8 weeks. Groups with children younger than age 2 are required to have parents (or grandparents/guardians) participate with their child. You pick the time and the day of the week and we send you an instructor to you for a fun filled 45 minute class. You may also choose to attend one of our scheduled classes and make new friends.
